The Role

As we continue to grow as QuidelOrtho, we are seeking an IT Asset Administrator to support out global IT team. This this role will be responsible to help define the program and be responsible for the day-to-day interactions of the program. Managing and optimizing the purchase, deployment, maintenance, utilization and disposal of Hardware and Software assets within the organization. This person will be handling tasks within the larger IT asset management program and provide support for the newly launched ServiceNow Software Asset Management module. The individual will be responsible for maintaining the Software Asset Management environment which includes, adding and maintaining entitlements and contracts. They will also be performing software reclamations to ensure QuidelOrtho remains compliant within contractual thresholds or to find ways to reduce costs.

This position will be working onsite at our San Diego, CA office or Rochester, NY office. You will be required to work hybrid out of either site depending on current location.

The Responsibilities

  • Adding new Entitlements to Software Asset Management.
  • Work closely with ITAM & Procurement teams to restructure or provide information about potentially downsizing existing software agreements for cost savings.
  • Work on updating Software Stack and add new entitlements when applicable (Approved application list).
  • Work closely with IT Security on approved applications & Software removals via SAM.
  • Handle Software License Reclamation
  • Work with ServiceNow team to help streamline and add additional Software Request tasks.
  • Actively participate in the establishment of the IT Asset Management program which will include software and hardware assets.
  • Engage with approved QuidelOrtho Software vendors for Software quotes.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

The Individual

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience supporting software asset management.
  • Person must be effective working as an individual contributor and part of a team.
  • Must have solid presentation skills to articulate the vision and purpose of SAM to owners of software in scope.
  • Must be comfortable engaging other QO departments. To determine their needs, providing strategic advice and managing their assets accordingly with assistance from the ITAM team.
  • Advanced understanding of the concepts of ServiceNow beyond simply creating tickets, or resolve/fulfilling tickets. (i.e. Reports, Dashboard, concepts)
  • Eventually be required to obtain ServiceNow SAM or Basic ADMIN certification.
  • Hours of work - 9am to 5pm local time and potentially work earlier or later or weekend if/when role dictates.
  • Strong experience using MS suite of products, Especially EXCEL, PPT, Word.

The Work Environment

No strenuous physical activity, though occasional light lifting of files and related materials is required. 30% of time in meetings, working with team, or talking on the phone, 70% of the time at the desk on computer, doing analytical work. Minimal travel required. Travel includes airplane, automobile travel and overnight hotel.

Salary Transparency

The salary range for this position takes into account a wide range of factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills, geography, and abilities of the candidate, in addition to internal equity and alignment with market data. At QuidelOrtho, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The salary range for this position is $49,000 to $83,000. QuidelOrtho offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, along with a 401(k) plan, employee assistance program, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, paid time off (including sick time), and paid Holidays. All benefits are non-contractual, and QuidelOrtho may amend, terminate, or enhance the benefits provided, as it deems appropriate.
