Are you passionate about helping students achieve their career goals? We are seeking a dedicated and motivated part-time Career Coach (Perkins Goals Coach) to support students in occupational programs within the Business, Innovation, and Legal Studies Department. The primary goal of this role is to enhance student retention rates, facilitate program completion, and improve job placement outcomes. This position requires approximately 12-13 hours per week during the Fall and Spring academic semesters.

Primary Functions:

  • Coordinate career and internship preparation activities, including resume development, interviewing skills, etc.

  • Network with local employers to identify job and internship availability for students.

  • Connect students with employment opportunities to support their career goals.

Hourly rate: $26.00

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 4 years of work experience.

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Knowledge of basic office software applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).

  • Must have the ability to sustain regular workattendance, and work cooperatively with students, faculty, staff, and the general public.

  • Ability to speak effectively with small and large groups required.

  • Ability to work some evenings and weekends required.
