Description
The School District of Beloit is seeking an Assistant Boys' Soccer Coach for Beloit Memorial High School for the 2024-2025 school year. Minority and bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply. Compensation based on paid coaching experience.

Job Description

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee training of student-athletes in all events in conjunction with the other coaches.
Develop training plans for student-athletes in specific events (as assigned by Head Coach) along with other coaches.
Assist in overseeing the running of specific events as needed at home games as directed by Head Coach and Athletic Director.
Contribute to game planning with other coaches.
Attend and coach at all practices.
Attend and coach at all games.
Assist other coaches in monitoring team members' school attendance, practice attendance, meet attendance, and grades
Assist other coaches in enforcing team policies.
Responsible for providing student-athletes with feedback about their performance related to their disposition, behavior, and individual skill development.
Successful completion of the required WIAA Rules Exam for Soccer by the 2022 Fall sports season.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Demonstrated knowledge of Soccer skills, skill development, and strategies.
If no teaching license, successful completion of an approved coach's education course (ASEP or NFHS) or the ability to complete the course prior to the second season of coaching.
Current certification (or must obtain within one month of employment) and maintenance of CPR/AED and First Aid certification from a national certifying organization.
Ability to initiate and maintain open communication with staff, student-athletes, parents.
Competitive experience in Soccer at the high school level.
Previous coaching experience in Soccer at the high school level.
Ability to work cooperatively with other coaches in the program.
Knowledge of WIAA eligibility standards and willingness to reinforce good sportsmanship and compliance with the athletic codes for members of the Boys' Soccer team.
Demonstrate ability to plan, organize, and supervise the team with respect to schedules, equipment, student eligibility, officials, and safety.
Demonstrate ability to work positively with a diverse population of student-athletes.
Ability to integrate the Soccer program into the total school experience of the student-athlete.

PREFERRED SKILLS
Valid teaching license
College playing/coaching experience
Demonstrated ability to successfully implement Soccer systems in a high school setting

ADDITIONAL NOTES

Working Conditions:
Will be expected to work evenings and weekends. Will be also be expected to work in various outdoor weather conditions.

Physical Requirements:
The job will require you to stand for extended periods of time, while coaching at practices and games.
