The Income Tax team is looking for a Senior Income Tax Accountant to join their team. The team supports the America's compliance of all direct taxes, including tax provision accounting, preparation/review of federal, foreign, state/provincial, and local corporate income/franchise tax returns, estimated payments and extensions in compliance with US and Canada tax laws and in accordance with US GAAP. Monitors tax law developments and ensures compliance with international, federal, state and local tax laws. They also support business initiatives by providing subject matter expertise related to direct taxes; the Tax Department needs to understand all business activities within Nintendo's organization.
This role is critical to stay compliant with tax laws. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a clear understanding of accounting and tax concepts, knowledge required for preparing, reviewing, and filing federal, state, local and foreign income tax returns, strong attention to detail, and display skills to work under tight deadlines. Candidates will work in a collaborative environment and can take ownership of their work.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

  • Prepares and/or reviews federal, state/provincial, local, and foreign tax returns and related schedules.
  • Assists with and conducts tax research and planning.
  • Compiles data and creates documentation to assist with tax projects.
  • Prepares and/or reviews quarterly tax provisions/accruals and reviews general ledger accounts.
  • Responsible for the accuracy and integrity of all corporate income tax returns and other information provided to taxing agencies.
  • Assists in mentoring staff and identifying opportunities for increased efficiencies and accuracy.
  • Provides assistance and support of income tax-related audits.

SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS:

  • A minimum of four to six (4-6) years of related experience.
  • Intermediate or higher level of proficiency using PC-based tax processing and spreadsheet and research software (Microsoft Excel, RIA, & BNA).
  • Experience using OneSource Income Tax or other similar income tax software.
  • Requires basic knowledge of accounting and tax theories.
  • Working knowledge of ASC 740 theory and application.
  • Working knowledge of SOX Section 404.
  • Undergraduate degree in accounting or equivalent education and experience.
  • CPA/Master's in taxation preferred.

This position is hybrid in Redmond, WA. Hybrid positions require regular onsite work following the schedule and guidelines for their division. This position is not open to fully remote status at this time.
This position includes a base salary range of $102,500 - $164,000 annually, potential for a semi-annual discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.
