Compensation

Salary Range: $71.24 - $113.98 / hour

The pay range above represents the lowest possible rate for the position and the highest possible rate. Factors that may be used to determine where newly hired employees will be placed in the pay range include the employee specific skills and qualifications, relevant years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Most often, a newly hired employee will be placed below the midpoint of the range. Pay for PRN positions is calculated differently than Full-Time, Regular Part-Time, and Part-Time positions. PRN Rates depend on the position and other factors, including years of experience, or shift commitment according to the department policy. PRN differential is added in certain positions.



Responsibilities

Position Overview:

This role will function as the director and decision maker for the Ambulatory Medicine (AmbMed) Division of CMHS in the planning, directing, organizing, and oversight of the overall workflow of the following initiatives: Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH), Patient Satisfaction, Patient Access and Efficiency, Performance Metrics for insurance payers (CMS, Gold Coast Health Plan, etc.), Accountable Care Organization (ACO), Nurse Triage, Quality Improvement, and Quality Reporting. This role also develops, manages, and implements a robust program of nurse oversight with advancement of standards of practice and nursing leadership for all of AmbMed clinics. Designs, defines, and drives implementation of strategic initiatives, policies and standards across CMHS clinics with regard to nursing and patient care services. The Director carries responsibility for integrating the strategic plan of CMHS into all AmbMed patient care services to ensure quality and consistency for patients and staff across service lines. Serve as a coach, facilitator, and resource for service issues, process changes, and ensuring that newly established workflows are sustained with ongoing monitoring of the effectiveness for actions taken within the organization to improve service. Stays connected to organizations and coalitions on local level, while advising on nursing and all patient care services as an industry leader.



Qualifications

Required:

    Master's or Doctorate Degree in related area
  • Outpatient Quality Assurance, Risk, Patient Safety, Accreditation & Regulatory Affairs experience
  • High-level management experience in leading multiple teams
  • Five (5) years' or more experience working with or in large healthcare systems, including experience in practice support and coaching
  • Five (5) years' experience or more in managing and communicating with high-level employees (executives, managers, and physicians)
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, etc.) and able to create and analyze spreadsheets, graphs, and charts
  • Experience working in and with an electronic medical record (EMR) and other patient communication and outreach technologies
  • Basic understanding of process improvement methodology
  • Change Management, PDSA, and/or LEAN experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • California RN License
  • Project management experience
  • Experience in transitioning, implementing, adopting, and optimizing an electronic health record (EHR), especially EPIC
  • Experience in managing system-wide projects
  • Experience in managing vendor relations for practice systems
