Position Title: Employee Benefits Client Advocate

Business Unit: INSA

Reports to: Director of Employee Benefits

Position Overview:

This position is primarily responsible for sales support, service and retention of employee benefits accounts and also for assisting Sales Executives and Account Managers in the quoting, service and retention of employee benefit accounts. The incumbent strives to utilize available technology to efficiently perform duties. The incumbent conducts business in a professional and ethical manner, strives for accuracy, confidentiality and to exceed customer expectations and continues to enhance insurance knowledge to better serve the client.

Primary Responsibilities:

Markets new business, determines premiums, prepares and presents proposals to clients and maintains underwriting and marketing information by carrier.

Checks new and renewal policies for accuracy in rating, typing, coverage, signatures and billing screens and ensures that these items are delivered or mailed to the client.

Receives correspondence from clients and companies regarding insurance, claims, administrative problems and changes to customer insurance program and complies with the request and communicates with the Sales and Account Management teams regarding resolutions.

Performs other related duties and projects assigned by Account Manager and/or Account Executive or Supervisor.

Promptly enters account information, transactions and activities into the agency management system.

Maintains documentation in accordance with HIPAA and company procedures.

Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.

Experience in employee benefits insurance agency or brokerage operation.

Licensures/Certifications Required to Perform the Primary Responsibilities of this Position:

Life, Accident and Health License required.

Professional insurance designation preferred.
