MINIMUM PAY RATE:$63,873 annually

POSITION SUMMARY
This position will be responsible for all coordinating activities of the Taking Back the Trades Grant (FY 25). The qualified candidate will work closely with high school dual enrolled Advanced Integrated Maintenance (AIM) and Applied Engineering Technology (AET) students to ensure they meet every requirement to earn a pathways endorsement in Manufacturing on their high school transcript upon graduating. This position will partner with area high schools, the two district career centers, the Three Rivers Education for Employment (TREES) office, area employers, and internal JJC program faculty and support staff to implement team-based challenges, resume building, DEI training, internship opportunities, and other related activities.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Organize two team-based challenges for each program (AIM and AET) that meet the requirements of the pathway endorsement in Manufacturing for high school students.
2. Partner with JJC programs in the Technical Education Department to highlight to AIM and AET students the varied academic and career paths for students interested in continued on in the field post high-school.
3. Partner with Career Services to work with students on resume writing and interviewing skills.
4. Work with dual credit AIM and AET instructors to implement essential employability skills into their course curriculum.
5. Coordinate with area manufacturers, energy companies, and related industries to place AIM and AET students into a 60-hour (or greater) internship.
6. Partner with recruiting efforts to attract the following years dual enrollment students into the AIM and AET programs.
7. Report to affiliated high schools and career centers on student progress in earning the pathways endorsement in Manufacturing.
8. Provide a written quarterly report to the Dean of Career and Technical Education for grant reporting purposes.
9. Partner with JJC departments to offer trainings related to DEI.
10. Coordinate with JJC Technical Education faculty to offer information sessions on the varied technical programs aligned with AIM and AET dual credit courses.
11. Attend the Forum for Excellence and IACTE conferences for professional development related to the grant, and share insights with relevant JJC colleagues.
12. Work with JJC's grants office, business office, and outside companies offering internships to ensure that timely payments are made for internships.
13. Perform related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor's degree in a related field.
2. Three (3) years of work experience in technical education or dual credit.
3. Strong organizational and project management skills.
4. Ability to effectively work under minimal supervision with effective verbal and written communication skills.
5. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with other members of the college and community, displaying cultural competence as well as emotional intelligence.
6. Demonstrated commitment to the college's core values of respect and inclusion, sustainability, integrity, collaboration, humor and well-being, innovation and quality.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Experience in a higher education setting.
2. English and Spanish verbal and written communication proficiency.
3. Demonstrated multicultural competence.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
1. Normal office physical demands.
2. Ability to travel between campus locations and to and from community events.
3. Ability to travel in state and nationally.

WORKING CONDITIONS
1. Duties are performed indoors in the usual office and/or outdoor environment.
