What you will be doing

Summary:

Under general direction of the Director of User Services, responsible for providing technical expertise and advise in technical-related matters in order to resolve computer hardware and software issues.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides technical support and services in resolving hardware and software issues for various locations on both a daily and on-call basis

  • Analyzes user requirements for data backup and recovery and ensures that sufficient software and processes are in place to provide adequate support in the event of normal and emergency situations

  • Evaluates the performance of computer applications and equipment and makes recommendations for improvement

  • Responsible and accountable for the budget, expenses and general financial management of the department

  • Responsible for overseeing the installation of new equipment.

  • Provides direction and assistance in emergency situations, including travel to specific locations

  • Assists with solving customer service issues with customers

  • Assists with follow up calls to customers when appropriate

  • Manages the workflow as it relates to daily customer activities

  • Performs various associate relations activities such as hiring, training and development, performance management and disciplinary actions

  • Must be willing to work extended hours, as needed, in order to meet objectives

  • Performs related duties as assigned

What your background should look like
  • Requires some training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four year Bachelor's Degree program, technical vocational training, or equivalent combination of experience and education

  • Normally requires a minimum of four (4) years directly related and progressively responsible experience

  • Knowledge of operating systems related to Microsoft Windows operating systems, IBM PC hardware and advanced knowledge of PC networking principles

  • Strong understanding of current technologies in area of expertise

  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

  • Excellent leadership skills

  • Strong problem solving and organizational skills

  • Good interpersonal skills

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Ability to prioritize work load and consistently meet deadlines; good time management skills

$95,800 - 147,620

*This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York/Hawaii/Vermont/Minnesota State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
