Job Summary
Auburn Advancement is excited to begin the search for an Associate Systems Engineer to join our operations and strategy team! This position enhances our technical operations and directly contributes to achieving our philanthropic mission through database management and Salesforce ( OAK) implementation.
What You'll Do:

  • Dive into Technology: Engage in the world of IT by working on the analysis, design, implementation, and support of Auburn Advancement's technology infrastructure. You'll get hands-on experience with computer hardware, operating systems, communications, software applications, and security.
  • Develop and Manage Products: Participate in managing Salesforce (OAK) and other essential database systems to enhance operational efficiency. You'll ensure these products are well-maintained, user-friendly, and optimized to support Advancement's needs.
  • Support and Maintain: Perform application installation, maintenance, training, and user support. Your proactive approach will ensure our systems run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Champion Philanthropy: Leverage Salesforce (OAK) to manage and retain an efficient place for donor information, driving our fundraising strategies forward. Your expertise will help streamline donor interactions for Advancement, enhance relationship management, and boost philanthropic contributions.

Essential Functions
Your Responsibilities as an Associate Systems Engineer:
o Purpose: Assist with the administration and support of deployed Advancement procedures, configurations, workflows, and integrated systems. Document and deploy systems and their integration points, and review and perform system testing to ensure functionality and reliability.
o Collaboration: Make recommendations to leadership to increase efficiencies in systems, contributing to continuous improvement and innovation. Provide ongoing assistance to the Enterprise Data Systems team regarding systems and applications, ensuring needs are met and issues are resolved promptly.
o Innovation: Assist with the deployment of new technologies and system integration testing, ensuring smooth integration and functionality of new solutions. Design methods and procedures for collecting, organizing, interpreting, and classifying system and log data for security, performance, and capacity planning needs.
o Production: Implement and troubleshoot configuration changes, systems, and applications to identify and correct service interruptions and operational problems. Maintain technical solutions to automate, monitor, test, and deploy applications, ensuring efficient and reliable operations.

Associate Systems Engineer (MA45):
High school diploma and 8 years of relevant experience OR
Associate's degree and 4 years of experience OR
Bachelor's degree and 0 years of experience.
The salary grade for this level is $45,300 to $72,500
Typical starting salary for this level is between $54,367 and $63,433

Area of required Experience:
Relevant IT experience in the administration of distributed computer systems

Salary is commensurate with relevant education and experience.
