This advertisement is for a Correctional Supervising Cook position located at Pine Grove Conservation Camp in Pine Grove, Amador County. Under the direct supervision of the Supervisor of Building Trades, CF the Electrician III, CF will install transmission lines for electrical equipment. Install, maintain, inspect, and repair electrical systems. Perform work on the Lethal Electric Fence (LEF), associated equipment, and components as mandated by the California Code of Regulations Title 8, Industrial Relations, Section 2940(c) High Voltage Electrical Fence orders regarding maintenance of LEF. Troubleshoot electrical systems. Operate electrical power generating equipment and assist with special projects. This is the lead worker level and sees that the work is carried out according to plans and specifications and is properly correlated with other trades. Pick up keys at Control. Work hours are Monday through Friday 0730-1530 hours; RDO's are Saturday and Sunday. Working Conditions About this location -- Sierra Conservation Center (SCC) is located in the foothills near Jamestown, California, in the heart of the Mother Lode Gold Country.It is adjacent to the Stanislaus National Forest, offering pine trees, mountain streams, and an abundance of recreational activities (fishing, swimming, camping, skiing, golfing, etc.).The prison is approximately 70 miles from Yosemite National Park. The primary mission of SCC is to provide housing, programs and services for minimum and medium custody incarcerated individuals, to aid in their rehabilitation. SCC is responsible for the training and placement of male incarcerated individuals in the Conservation Camp Program. SCC administers 31 male camps located throughout California.
