Under general supervision this position provides quality individual, group, family and marital therapy with children, adolescents and adults. Providence Valdez Behavioral Health is a community based behavioral health service, which provides a variety of outpatient treatment services to assist adults, children and families.

This posting is for multiple openings of a Mental Health Counselor Masters at Providence Kodiak Island Counseling Center, AK. We offer several openings for various FTEs and shifts. We are hiring for the following positions in the Department:

Mental Health Counselor Masters - Full-Time (1.0 FTE, Day Shift, 40 Hours Per Week, 8-4 p.m)



  • $10,000 Hiring Bonus for eligible external hires
  • Relocation Assistance available for eligible hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.

Required Qualifications:



  • Master's Degree: Social Work, Counseling, Education or related Behavioral Health Field to obtain licensure
  • One year: Counseling


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Within 1 year of hire Substance Abuse Professional Certification (e.g., CDC I or II, National Master Addiction Counselor)
