We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our dynamic team and contribute to the exceptional guest experience we're known for. As Starbucks Barista, you'll bring your energetic attitude to life by taking orders and crafting drinks with a friendly smile and swift precision. We are looking for a part-time Barista to work on Saturdays and Sundays.

Connected to the newly expanded Baird Center, the Hilton Milwaukee City Center is Milwaukee's largest hotel. Built in 1927 as the Schroeder Hotel, the Hilton Milwaukee offers 729 well-appointed guest rooms and over 34,000 square feet of meeting and event space. At the Hilton Milwaukee, we pride ourselves on continuous innovation through our approach to world-class service, upscale amenities, and superior style.

What you will be doing:

  • Provide quality beverages consistently for all customers, preparing Starbucks beverages to standard.
  • Maintain condition and cleanliness of work area.
  • Follow standards for merchandising, stocking, rotating, and storing all products.
  • Ascertain guest satisfaction; in the event of dissatisfaction, tactfully negotiate an accommodation.
  • Comply with accounting guidelines regarding receipt of payments, cash drawer and house bank management.
  • Balance house bank at the end of the shift.
  • Perform any general cleaning tasks using standard outlet cleaning products as assigned by supervisor to adhere to health standards.

What we are looking for:

  • Must be able to work on Saturdays and Sundays.
  • Previous hospitality, barista, cashiering or customer service experience is preferred.
  • Must be able to learn all menu items and up-selling techniques.
  • Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, count total bank, prepare cash drops, and total all other charges.
  • Ability to effectively resolve conflict situations, such as inaccurate check total.
  • Ability to read and speak English sufficient to understand menus and special promotions, and communicate with guests.
  • Ability to operate keyboard and Point of Sale procedures to handle cashier functions.
