THE JOB:

As an Assistant Executive Housekeeper, you play a crucial role in supporting the Executive Housekeeper in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, efficiency, and guest satisfaction within Housekeeping. Your attention to detail, leadership skills, and dedication to excellence contribute to the overall success of the housekeeping department.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Manages the delivery and measurement of guest service standards within Housekeeping
  • Participates in the research, development, evaluation, and implementation of new products, services, technology, and processes to ensure competitive position in anticipation of changing customer needs within the dynamic hospitality/gaming environment
  • Manages Human Resources responsibilities for Housekeeping to include: creating a work environment that creates teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, quality hiring, training, disciplinary action, collective bargaining agreement
  • Works closely in mentoring/coaching Housekeeping Floor Managers in additional tasks/responsibilities to optimize advancement opportunities available for subordinate staff
  • Promotes and develops team-oriented philosophy, stressing the importance of providing unparalleled commitment to excellence in service
  • Responds to guest service interactions in a professional and timely manner, achieving positive guest/problem resolution
  • Works closely in training Housekeeping Floor Managers to ensure room inspections are in accordance with quality assurance standards
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationship with all departments
  • Works closely with the Scheduling Attendants to ensure all bidding processes for positions within assigned area(s) of responsibility are handled in accordance to policies, procedures, and established timelines
  • Represents management at unemployment hearings, union grievances, arbitrations, and various meetings, when necessary

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

  • Bachelor's Degree or 4 years equivalent work experience
  • 2 years of prior relevant experience in housekeeping

WHAT WILL MAKE YOU STAND OUT:

  • 2 years management level leadership, such as floor manager, front desk hotel operations manager, resort operations manager
  • Familiarity with housekeeping equipment, and industry-specific software systems, such as Amadeus
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within the housekeeping department of a hotel, resort, or similar hospitality establishment is preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for effectively interacting with staff, guests, and other departments
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including the ability to motivate and inspire team members, delegate tasks, and resolve conflicts effectively
  • Proficient computer skills
