The role of R&D Manager, Ceiling System and Innovation portfolio, is pivotal in driving the R&D strategy for ceiling systems, contributing to the overall success of the IPG organization innovation and intellectual property portfolios. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the future of customer centric and sustainable interior solution and innovation.

Responsibilities



  • Lead ceiling (including suspension, panel, and special ceiling) R&D Team. Develop and communicate product strategy, core competency, and innovation roadmap for special ceiling systems. Provide strategic leadership to the R&D team, ensuring alignment with business goals. Drive innovation initiatives from ideation to commercial launch through collaboration with cross-functional team of all key business functions
  • Manage IPG Innovation Portfolio. Collaborate closely with essential innovation functions of IPG, CertainTeed, and Saint-Gobain, utilizing StageGate methodology. Oversee the IPG innovation portfolio, ensuring alignment with business objectives of broad IPG business. Lead the implementation of new project management tool across IPG R&D.
  • Develop and Execute IPG IP Strategy. Work collaboratively with the IP portfolio manager and R&D leaders in IPG and peripheral innovation teams. Develop and execute the IPG intellectual property (IP) strategy and portfolio development. Contribute to the overall IP strategy of the organization.
  • Team and People management. Manage and direct the R&D team to build a strong technical team and capability. Establish budgets and priorities for core product development and testing activities. Develop and mentor team members for career growth and foster a trust, empowerment, and collaboration culture.

Is this job for you ?

  • MS Degree 10+ years experience or PhD 6+ years experience in materials or engineering
  • Broad-based knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials (Wood, Aluminum, Felt, Fiberglass, coating, etc), and technologies
  • Proven experience in supervising technical resource, IP development, lab management.
  • Strong project management skill.
  • Experience working with construction industry and building material.
