Job Summary

Handles the coordination of all of the team's tasks in order to build the structure to professional standards in their field of activity (roads, piping, rail, etc.) in observance of the safety guidelines.

Main Responsibilities
  • Visually and audibly supervise all plant processing equipment before, during and after operations.
  • Control incoming and outgoing of materials pertaining to the needs of production.
  • Observes gauges, dials, and operation of machinery to ensure conformance to processing specifications.
  • Complete all vital paperwork including daily reports.
  • General knowledge of JDE to assist the Plant Superintendent in making purchase orders and purchase order receipts
  • Maintain a positive and productive demeanor in-regards to company and customer outlook and goals to maintain positive employee morale.
  • Open the plant 30 minutes prior to the when the first driver is scheduled to arrive
  • Other duties as assigned
Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience preferred
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to maintain a clean driving history
  • 5 years of Hot Mix Plant Experience
  • Management Experience
Skills
  • Schedule, complete site and safety training as well as delegate work for all employees
  • Supervise daily operations and production
  • Trouble shoot equipment, controls and processes
  • Plan and follow through with maintenance and repairs
  • Complete all required reports
  • Inventory Completion and Ordering
Physical Requirements
  • Wears and maintains personal protective equipment (PPE) as the need arises
  • Lift and /or move up to 50 pounds with or without assistance
  • Use hands to move and manipulate objects
  • Regularly required to communicate (talk and hear)
  • Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Standing/working on feet for long periods, and walking across uneven terrain
  • Frequent exposure to loud noise
  • Regularly exposed to all outdoor weather conditions, dust, fuel, oil, and other chemicals and airborne particles
  • Required to work varying hours, including nights/weekends, Overtime as required
  • Must follow the company's drug and alcohol testing requirements
  • Proven track record working safely
  • Good work ethic, professional, and positive demeanor
  • Some travel might be required
