Job Summary:

Provide individualized academic guidance to undergraduate business students to enhance their educational opportunities and experiences at Marist College.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• Experience working with diverse multicultural undergraduate population, preferably at the college level Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong written and communications skills required
• Must be student centered, flexible, patient, and a creative problem solver.

Essential Functions:

Assist students in planning and achieving their educational goals, advise on major and minor options, scheduling, course selections, study abroad, and other matters consistent with their academic interests and career goals. Interpret audits and program requirements, participate in student-centered events and workshops, monitor student progress toward degree completion with a goal of on-time graduation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Masters Degree
• Experience in academic advising at the college level.
• Experience with Degree Works and appointment scheduling software.

The School of Management offers four undergraduate degree programs: B.S. in Accounting, Dual Degree in Accounting, B.S. in Business Administration with concentrations in Marketing, Finance, Management, Entrepreneurship, and International Business; BA in Economics. The School also carries the AACSB and NASPAA accreditations.
