Summary of Position
Under the supervision of the Executive Director of Employer Relations and Operations, The Assistant Director is responsible for coordinating and managing university wide career fairs and events, sponsorships, and initiatives within the Career and Professional Success. This role requires a dynamic individual capable of fostering relationships with stakeholders, overseeing operations, and driving sponsorship growth. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional interpersonal skills, strong organizational abilities, and a strategic mindset to enhance the effectiveness of events and programs. This position also oversees and coordinates a robust intern program of over 10+ students and intern managers annually.

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Three to five years' experience in higher education and at least three years' experience working broadly in the field of employer relations and events management
  • Demonstrated project management and implementation skills
  • Demonstrate experience using Lean Six Sigma process practices to feed continuous process improvement
  • Demonstrated experience using technology platforms such as Salesforce and Handshake, including the design and use of reports and dashboards for data analysis

Duty/Responsibility
Events, Operations, Sponsorship, and Relationship Management:

  • Oversee the successful execution of all aspects of a portfolio of high-profile career events, including two annual cross-university career fairs and multiple signature events
  • Serve as operational expert and liaison to stakeholders (staff, faculty, students, and employers) who are participating in events; be responsible for keeping open lines of communication and presenting innovative ideas and solutions in the event of any problems or barriers that arise
  • Determine success metrics for portfolio of events and conduct ongoing assessment of their effectiveness, with an eye to efficiency, revenue generation, student engagement, and continuous improvement
  • Run day-to-day operations for employer sponsorship programs and assess data and feedback about their effectiveness and impact
  • Generate new sponsorship opportunities and additional sponsors for programs annually
  • Develop and implement effective marketing and communications strategies targeted at employers, staff, faculty, and students for events, recruitment, and other employer relations-related initiatives
  • Manage expense and revenue tracking for career events and programs
  • Manage, support, and grow campus partnerships through thoughtful and strsategic relationship building



Duty/Responsibility
Technology:

  • Be UNH's "super user" for the Handshake platform; act as the main point of contact for stakeholders for accurate and up-to-date information about the platform
  • Maintain regular communications with Handshake and stay abreast of relevant changes in the platform
  • Support the integration and regular successful migration of data between other information systems and Handshake
  • Manage the Handshake contract, including contract negotiations
  • Act as secondary "super user" for Salesforce for the CaPS team in the event of the primary "super user's" absence
  • Track employer engagement in Salesforce
  • Provide additional expertise and backup troubleshooting for other CaPS career technology platforms, on an as needed basis, as determined by the Executive Director of Employer Relations and Operations and/or the Associate Vice Provost for Career and Professional Success



Duty/Responsibility
Supervision:

  • Supervise two operations team staff members
  • Lead the CaPS internship program which includes hiring, onboarding, mentoring, and managing 10+ students annually
  • Work closely with the Director of High Impact Practices to align the CaPS internship program with the Campus-to-Careers (C2C) program
