Job Description:

The Senior Network Administrator will be responsible for:



  • Managing computer systems and networks, including WANs, LANs
  • Creating and restoring systems using various tools
  • Managing network security
  • Provide technical consultation and specialized guidance to management and users
  • Oversee the IT infrastructure
  • Deign LAN/WAN networks


The Senior Network Administrator shall possess the following capabilities:



  • Maintaining computer networks and systems including software, mainframes, VPNs, routers and other physical hardware
  • Installing and configuring network equipment to update or fix hardware or software issues
  • Updating virus protection software to keep data and communications protected
  • Monitoring computer systems to improve network performance for computer systems and networks
  • Communicating networking issues to other employees and management, especially in training new users
  • Fixing software and hardware configuration issues for users on-demand or from inspection of the systems


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (CS), Information Systems, or Network Engineering and at least five (5) years of demonstrable experience in network (LAN/WAN) configuration, monitoring, security, and protection. Or the individual shall have five (5) years of full time CS work that can be substituted for the Bachelor' s degree and at least five (5) years of demonstrable experience in network (LAN/WAN) configuration, monitoring, security, and protection.


Certifications Required:



  • IAT Level 2 Certification Required


Position requires active Security Clearance with appropriate Polygraph
