SUMMARY:

The Production Control Clerk supports all Production and Inventory Control activities at our Mattoon, IL operations. Compiles and records production data to prepare records and reports on volume of production, consumption of raw material, quality control, and other aspects of production.

RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Monitor production schedules, production activity, and Kanban's to ensure internal and external customer requirements are met, including daily data inputs
  • Labor entry, including problem resolution, report generation and distribution on activity. Item balance, product structure, routing and other ad hoc reports, records, and queries. Calculates factors, such as types and quantities of items produced, materials used, and amount of scrap, frequency of defects, and worker and department production rates.
  • Works closely with other departments, i.e. production, purchasing, engineering, quality, customer service to ensure the completion of common goals.
  • Inventory transfers, PO entry and physical inventory input. Record and monitor all inventory activity. Reconcile transfer discrepancies.
  • Document all work procedures and audit activity to ensure ongoing integrity.
  • Confers and assists department to coordinate all production and shipping activities, and to resolve complaints or eliminate delays.
  • Takes on new and additional tasks with comfort and ease and responding to unexpected requirements inherent in such circumstances. Handling and managing new assignments readily.
  • Effectively executes transactional and administrative tasks, especially processing information. Capably administering.
  • Dependably completes work within organizational protocol and within expectations. Completing work within Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Executes work processes to meet volume and quality requirements. Meeting routine work demands.


REQUIREMENTS:



  • Problem Identification & Resolution
  • Efficient verbal and written skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and MAPICS/AS 400
  • Basic accounting skills
  • Ability to move around office, plant, and warehouse
  • Ability to step upon and down from platforms as needed
  • High school diploma
  • 1-2 years' experience in field or related area, manufacturing or production control
