California State University - Fresno | Diversity Employer

Fresno State is one of the 23 campuses within the California State University, one of the largest systems of higher education in the world. The university is accredited by the California Board of Education and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. It has 26 nationally accredited departmental programs, among the highest number within the CSU system. We are proud to have the Bulldog as our mascot.

The 388-acre main campus and its 1,011-acre University Farm are located at the northeast edge of Fresno, California, at the foot of the majestic Sierra Nevada mountain range. The surrounding San Joaquin Valley is one of the richest agricultural areas in the world, and Fresno is the fifth largest city in California. The university is within an hour's drive of many mountain and lake resorts, including three National Parks (Yosemite, Kings Canyon, and Sequoia) and within a three- or four-hour drive of both Los Angeles and San Francisco and the beach.

To boldly educate and empower students for success.

Students prepared to become our next generation of leaders.

The words Discovery, Diversity and Distinction are everywhere you see the Fresno State logo. There’s a reason for that. It reminds us why we are here: to educate and empower student success through the discoveries they make, the diversity that will enrich their life experiences, and the distinctions they will imprint on a changing world.

  • Discovery: We believe … in fostering personal passion, potential and a sense of belonging.
  • Diversity: We believe … effective solutions come from inclusiveness, openness and respect.
  • Distinction: We believe … excellence emerges with a willingness to be bold.
