SUMMARY:

The Technical Sales Representative (TSR) will aggressively execute a sales strategy with the fundamental objective to grow sales volume in the assigned territory. The TSR will work with the Sales Director to identify, develop, and close new business opportunities as well as manage customer relationships and execute account sales and service plans to maintain existing business. The TSR will identify customer needs and advocate value-added solutions utilizing SNF products and services.

The TSR will report to the Sales Director. The Northeast US territory includes New England, PA, NY and NJ, and other areas as assigned by the Sales Director. The TSR's home office will be located in the territory.

RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Meet or exceed territory targets for $ sales, volume, and market share growth for SNF.
  • Deliver measurable value to prospective and current customers through expertise in the application of SNF products in the Industrial Market.
  • Work with Sales Director and the SNF team to develop and maintain favorable relationships with customers. Plan and implement Technical Service plans to ensure customer satisfaction for all ongoing accounts.
  • Develop expertise in the operation of and optimization of polymer applications in Industrial water and wastewater systems and equipment, including clarifiers, DAFs, centrifuges, belt filter presses, and screw presses.
  • Provide expert troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to solve customer process and product problems.
  • Create and present sales and technical materials promoting SNF products and solutions.
  • Understand the safe handling, use, and storage of SNF products. Comply with all safety practices and environmental regulations applicable to the customer's site.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of the Company's products, customers, and proprietary information.

Requirements
  • A Bachelor's Degree in a scientific discipline or business degree and equivalent market experience is required.
  • A minimum of five years of successful sales experience, preferably in industrial water treatment.
  • Experience and understanding of clarification and dewatering equipment; i.e. clarifiers, thickeners, DAFs, centrifuges, belt filter presses, and screw presses. Specific experience and expertise in the application of wastewater polymers in the chemical, food processing, and dairy industry are a plus.
  • A character that is confident, bright, articulate, innovative, highly motivated, and self-starting with a high energy level and a spirit of team effort and cooperation.
  • Strong orientation to customer service and the ability to gain the respect of the end-user.
  • Knowledge and ability to create sales quotations for chemical and equipment packages.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • The ability to participate effectively in sales and business planning, and to arrive at sound decisions designed to produce effective results.
  • Microsoft Office Suite experience and skills at the intermediate to advanced level.
  • Ability to travel at least 50% of the time
  • All sales employees will be required to sign SNF's Employment Agreement.
