We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Human Resources Intern to join our team for the summer. This internship offers hands-on experience in various aspects of HR, including recruitment, training and development, and HR administration. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, detail-oriented, and possesses excellent communication skills.

This is a great internship opportunity to help you jump-start your HR career! You will report to the Human Resources Manager and will collaborate with other HR team members.

You Will:

Recruitment:



  • Support the Recruiter with job postings on various platforms.
  • Screening resumes and applications.
  • Scheduling interviews and coordinating interview logistics.
  • Conducting reference checks for potential candidates.



Onboarding and Orientation:



  • Assisting with the preparation and organization of new hire orientation (i.e., orientation agenda).



Engagement



  • Support the Sr. HR Coordinator with the coordination of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) activities and initiatives.



Training and Development:



  • Provide administrative support to the human resources team on internal learning and development needs.



HR Administration:



  • Maintaining and updating employee records and data in HRIS system.
  • Providing general administrative support to the HR department, such as filing, data entry, or organizing documents.
  • Ad hoc reporting



You Have




  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Individuals actively pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Organizational Design, or other related fields are encouraged to apply.
  • Proficiency at using technology to communicate effectively, organize information, and produce quality outputs.
  • Knowledge of administrative procedures and data entry skills.
  • General working knowledge of employment law is ideal but not required.



Our Benefits

This is a full-time (30- 40 hours per week) internship opportunity that will be based in our Washington, D.C., or San Francisco office for 10-12 weeks and have an hourly rate starting at $20.66 (DC) or $22.73 (SF). Interns are eligible for a limited benefits package, which includes paid vacation, and other benefits.
