SUMMARY:

TheProduct Specialist facilitates the sales process and identifies and aids in resolving issues and problems related to SNF products and orders.The Product Specialist will provide a primary point of contact for the sales teams to request technical or regulatory information and internal support to resolve issues. The Product Specialist will support Product Management in internal information communication and coordinate tasks and assignments for various projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Provide technical support to customers and the sales force for SNF product portfolio
  • Coordinate communication & activities between Product Management, Sales, Demand & Inventory Planning, Customer Service, and Logistics
  • Assist in updating and maintaining the product selection guides
  • Update and maintain Core Product Portfolio in collaboration with Product Management
  • Assist the Product Management team with product and packaging rationalization efforts
  • Coordinate new customer inquiries and consult with the Product Management team or route requests to the appropriate sales team
  • Periodically review inactive and non-conforming product inventories and work with Product Manager and Demand & Inventory Manager to identify sales outlets or other disposition of material
  • Filter requests regarding product characteristics from SNF customers and SNF managers and assist in acquiring needed documents related to products, such as technical delivery specifications (TDS) and safety data sheets (SDS)
  • Communicate special customer needs to all appropriate internal teams
  • Assist the SNF Quality Department in the investigation of customer complaints as needed
  • Provide support to internal departments in process improvements with a strong focus on how any proposed changes may impact product quality or customer application
  • Prepare on-time shipment performance reports

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or Technical Field
  • Minimum of three years combined experience in sales, technical/customer service, or other areas in which technical knowledge of chemical manufacturing was acquired
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, organizational skills, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate details effectively to internal and external customers with varying levels of technical expertise
  • Literate in Microsoft Office at the intermediate to advanced level with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Excel and Power BI
  • A strong customer focus with the ability to support Product Management and Sales groups in varying efforts to improve the overall customer experience
